There are only a few days left to donate and claim the Frozenbyte collection at Humble Bundle.
For those of you who don't know what Humble Bundle is, it is a fundraiser that lets you donate any amount of money (even $0.01) and gain access to a wealth of indie games you may not have even heard about.
The Frozenbyte bundle is a great time to catch Trine and both Shadowgrounds and Shadowgrounds: Survivor, along with bonus material! Frozenbyte was even kind enough to give away the source code!
I already bought Trine on Steam and reviewed it, months ago, and I gave it a 4/5, so it is definitely worth a small donation even on its own.
I donated $0.75 or what I had left in my PayPal balance at the time, and in my eyes, it was more like a bargain bin purchase at Gamestop. I got DRM-free games, a Steam key for them, access to the source files, the soundtracks, and even two unfinished games the developers were either working on or giving up on. Oh, and Trine comes with an OnLive key.
Yeah, but keep in mind that the games are old and not selling as well as they used to.
I already have Trine and Shadowgrounds, and I know nothing about coding games, so source code would not interest me in the slightest. I might go ahead and pay a penny just to try the other games.
Call me Kaze if you like.
Let me know what Jack Claw and Splot are like once you try them. I will try them eventually, but I have a backlist of games to play and review.

This looks really cool, being able to pay as much as you want for the games. Reminds me of when Radiohead released the album In Rainbows and you could choose how little or how much to purchase the album for. Or, even cooler, when Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails simply released his album The Slip for free.
I like these approaches to marketing, but you've got to make some money somewhere.
