Garry Newman, creator of Garry's Mod, recently added a joke error to his masterpiece, Garry's Mod. The error only appears if you play the game without actually owning it. Unsuspecting pirates have got their accounts banned from Steam's message boards, and it was a good April Fools joke to boot.
Let it be known that GL does not condone piracy and supports the efforts of game developers to protect their games. However, you can never make a game uncrackable, so the real goal is to make gaming harder on pirates.

DRM is short form of digital rights management. Some people think of DRM as digital restrictions management, though, and technically, the latter is more correct.

Haha, that's pretty cool. But I'm not sure what DRM means or what exactly the joke error was. He didn't explain it very well in his blog (he did, I just wanted to know what he said to pirates)
