Minecraft just is not my game of choice, but I love to read developer blogs, and Notch, creator of Minecraft, posted something I found hilarious:

Heh, that's pretty rich. After it came out it didn't seem like there was that much hype for it. Plus, mostly everybody who played it or tried the demo doesn't comment much on the gameplay.
All they say is "it's funny".
